100 Thieves eliminated from StarSeries Fall qualifier by Nuclear TigeRES

100 Thieves have been eliminated from the StarLadder StarSeries Fall qualifiers following a 1-2 defeat against Nuclear TigeRES. The loss occurred during the Group D elimination match just a day after 100 Thieves managed to upset the Falcons in the BLAST Bounty event.

In the pivotal match against Nuclear TigeRES, 100 Thieves struggled on Ancient, where they held significant leads at 12-10 and 15-14 but ultimately lost the map in double overtime. Although Håvard "rain" Nygaard posted an impressive performance with a 1.66 rating on Mirage, that success was not enough to secure overall victory. The team faltered on the deciding map, Inferno, where they faced formidable competition from Ilya "flouzer" Selifonov.

Earlier in the qualifiers, 100 Thieves suffered a defeat against Ninjas in Pyjamas in their opening match. However, they rebounded quickly, showcasing their resilience with a remarkable upset over IEM Cologne Major champions Falcons just hours before facing Nuclear TigeRES.

Despite the momentum gained from that victory, 100 Thieves could not maintain it and have now been eliminated from contention for a spot at the StarSeries Fall tournament. With this defeat, they will miss the opportunity to compete against top-tier teams such as Vitality, FURIA, and Natus Vincere for a share of the $500,000 prize pool.
