Aurora announces signing of coach ash
Aurora has secured Ashley "ash" Battye as their new coach, marking the start of their team restructuring.
Aurora has taken a significant step in their journey toward establishing an international team by signing Ashley "ash" Battye as their head coach. This decision follows the recent exit of Sezgin "Fabre" Kalaycı and signals the beginning of a major overhaul within the organization.
The recruitment of ash adds a prominent name to Aurora's project. He gained recognition in 2023 while coaching GamerLegion, where he impressively guided the team to the finals of the BLAST.tv Paris Major, showcasing his ability to perform with limited resources and a lineup without well-known stars.
Despite the disbanding of GamerLegion after their Major success, ash's reputation as a coach grew, demonstrating an aptitude for building competitive teams from modest talent pools. After stepping away from GamerLegion late in 2025 due to burnout, ash expressed a desire for a fresh start, emphasizing his ambition to work with top-tier players and pursue championships.
In his new role at Aurora, ash will oversee a team that already boasts considerable talent, with plans to add two more international players to the roster. The team's current lineup includes Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş, Özgür "woxic" Eker, and Ali "Wicadia" Haydar Yalçın, alongside ash as coach.
As Aurora prepares for the future, fans will be watching closely to see how this new leadership shapes the team's performance moving forward.
