FUT confirms benching of lauNX after one year with the team
FUT has officially benched Laurențiu "lauNX" Țârlea, concluding his one-year stint with the team. Speculation arises about his next destination, potentially involving a trade with HEROIC.
FUT has announced that Laurențiu "lauNX" Țârlea has been benched, marking the end of his year-long association with the Turkish organization. This decision follows reports indicating that lauNX requested to explore his options ahead of the IEM Cologne Major.
Rumors have surfaced linking the 21-year-old with HEROIC, where a potential trade involving Yasin "xfl0ud" Koç might take place. While lauNX did not provide specific details about his next steps, he hinted on X that a new direction has already been set.
"Not much can be said about what's coming next, but I can only say one thing. I have learned in life that sometimes it's good to let things go in order to have better growth, and I feel that from my next move, both sides will have a lot to gain," lauNX stated.
He further emphasized his pursuit of challenges as he aims to gain experience in both his career and personal life, assuring fans, "my screams won't go anywhere, and if anything, they will get louder. MORE INFO SOON."
During his tenure with FUT, lauNX gained recognition for his dynamic play and vibrant personality, complementing the aggressive style of his team well. He made his mark as the team's Opener, maintaining an average rating of 1.10 and contributing to FUT’s rise as a regular contender in tier-one competitions since early 2026.
The pinnacle of his journey with FUT was clinching the PGL Bucharest title, where he was honored with his first and only HLTV Exceptionally Valuable Player award.
Following lauNX's benching, FUT's lineup now consists of Nikita "cmtry" Samolotov, Aulon "Krabeni" Fazlija, Dmytro "dem0n" Myroshnychenko, and Džiugas "dziugss" Steponavičius, along with coach András "coolio" Fercsák.
