Gratisfaction Joins FlyQuest as Stand-In for DFRAG Nationals

FlyQuest has announced that Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai will serve as a stand-in for their team at the upcoming DFRAG HyperX Nationals. This event is set to occur in Brisbane, Australia from July 17-19, and offers a prize pool of approximately $7,000.

The tournament will feature eight teams from the Oceania region, including notable squads such as THUNDER dOWNUNDER, Rooster, and Ground Zero. FlyQuest has been placed at the top of Group B and will face DXA in their initial match, as the tournament follows a GSL-style group stage format.

FlyQuest has been seeking a solution for the AWPer position since the benching of João "story" Vieira during the off-season. Vieira has since returned to SAW, reuniting with the lineup that reached the semi-finals of IEM Cologne 2024.

Gratisfaction, who has a history with Justin "jks" Savage during their time on Renegades and 100 Thieves, steps in as a well-known replacement. The 30-year-old had been a free agent since June, following his departure from Alter Ego.

FlyQuest's search for a permanent replacement continues as they prepare for the competition at DFRAG.
