Jimpphat joins Aurora following departure from MOUZ

Finnish player Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo signs with Aurora after over four years with MOUZ.

Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo has officially signed with Aurora, marking a new chapter in his career after leaving MOUZ. The Finnish player had been without a team since April, following substantial changes within MOUZ prior to the IEM Cologne Major.

Aurora's decision to recruit Jimpphat is part of a broader strategic shift, as the organization has recently benched Caner "soulfly" Kesici and released IGL Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli alongside head coach Sezgin "Fabre" Kalaycı.

Additionally, Aurora introduced Ashley "ash" Battye as their new head coach, bringing fresh leadership to the squad following Battye's hiatus from coaching since departing GamerLegion in 2025 because of burnout.

As Jimpphat joins Aurora, he aims to recapture the level of play that earned him recognition as the 17th best player of 2024. However, he faced challenges during his last year and a half with MOUZ, where he posted an average rating of 1.04.

The current roster for Aurora includes: Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş, Özgür "woxic" Eker, Ali "Wicadia" Haydar Yalçın, Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo, Ashley "ash" Battye (coach).
