JT appointed as new in-game leader for Liquid
Liquid has officially named Johnny "JT" Theodosiou as its new in-game leader after benching siuhy.
Liquid has confirmed the signing of Johnny "JT" Theodosiou as their new in-game leader, following the benching of Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek. This announcement aligns with a prior report from Dust2.us back in June.
JT, who has previously led teams such as Bravado, Cloud9, and Complexity, steps into the role after Liquid faced struggles on the T side last season. The roster's underwhelming performance included finishing among the worst in T-side win rates and only making playoffs at the BLAST Bounty Season 1 via the online group stage. The team’s season concluded with a disappointing 2-3 exit from Stage 1 of the IEM Cologne Major.
This marks Liquid's second roster change in the off-season, as they recently added Georgi "Jorko" Mitev to take over the AWPer position from Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak. JT's arrival reestablishes the partnership with Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski, with whom he had notable success during their time at Complexity, including a victory at the ESL Challenger Jönköping 2024 and a second-place finish at IEM Sydney 2023.
JT is expected to make his debut in the online matches of BLAST Bounty Season 2, scheduled for Friday at 16:00 against Team Vitality. With Liquid being the 30th seed in the tournament, they selected Vitality over Falcons and Spirit as their first challenge.
Currently, Liquid's lineup includes:
- Johnny "JT" Theodosiou - Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski - Keith "NAF" Markovic - Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa - Georgi "Jorko" Mitev - Viktor "flashie" Tamás Bea (coach)
Additionally, siuhy and ultimate have been moved to the bench.
