Justinas "jL" Lekavicius joins Vitality as substitute for events
Vitality has confirmed Justinas "jL" Lekavicius as a stand-in for two upcoming tournaments while players are on maternity leave.
Team Vitality has officially announced that Justinas "jL" Lekavicius will temporarily join their roster as a substitute for two upcoming events. jL steps in for William "mezii" Merriman and Dan "apEX" Madesclaire, who will be on maternity leave during this period.
Though Vitality's announcement did not specify which events each player would miss, a report from Sebastien "KRL" Perez suggested that mezii is set to miss the BLAST Open Porto, while apEX is expected to sit out the PGL Masters Bucharest.
This development comes at a challenging time for Vitality, who have seen a decline in their performance following a five-event win streak earlier this year; the team has now failed to secure a top-four finish in their last three tournaments.
For jL, this stint provides another chance to showcase his skills after his departure from Natus Vincere in July. Earlier this year, he also served as a stand-in for MOUZ.
If both mezii and apEX do indeed miss the events as previously noted, the Vitality lineup for each tournament will include jL, alongside key players such as Robin "ropz" Kool and Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut.
For BLAST Open Porto, the roster will feature: - Dan "apEX" Madesclaire - Robin "ropz" Kool - Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut - Shahar "flameZ" Shushan - Justinas "jL" Lekavicius
For PGL Masters Bucharest, the lineup will consist of: - William "mezii" Merriman - Robin "ropz" Kool - Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut - Shahar "flameZ" Shushan - Justinas "jL" Lekavicius.
