PARIVISION defeats FaZe to reach XSE Pro League final
PARIVISION secures a place in the XSE Pro League grand final after a hard-fought victory over FaZe, led by HObbit and slaxejezzz.
PARIVISION has advanced to the grand final of the XSE Pro League in Guangzhou following a thrilling victory against FaZe, managing to recover after a defeat on Cache (9-13) with two overtime victories on Dust2 (19-17) and Ancient (19-17).
This marks PARIVISION's first appearance in a grand final since PGL Cluj-Napoca, representing a significant turnaround after a challenging season. Following a disappointing exit from Stage 3 of the IEM Cologne Major, the team made roster changes, bringing in veteran player Abay "HObbit" Khassenov and newcomer Vyacheslav "slaxejezzz" Vinokurov.
FaZe will be left to ponder the missed opportunities, having let several match points slip away, particularly in the later stages of the Dust2 and Ancient maps. In the initial match on Cache, FaZe took advantage of PARIVISION's defensive gaps, leading 7-5 at halftime and swiftly closing out the map after a strong start.
However, on Dust2, the tide turned as PARIVISION capitalized on a weak B site defense from FaZe, taking a commanding lead at 8-4 after an impressive performance, including a 1v3 clutch by Ivan "zweih" Gogin. FaZe attempted a comeback but faltered after reaching match point, allowing PARIVISION to force overtime and eventually clinch the win.
The third map, Ancient, showcased both teams trading aggressive plays. Despite FaZe's recovery to lead at 11-10, the match shifted again, requiring overtime after another close round, where PARIVISION's resilience and strategic execution led them to victory, with Jame playing a crucial role alongside HObbit in critical rounds.
With this win, PARIVISION not only earns a spot in the grand final but also puts their newfound synergy on display as they look to capitalize on their momentum.
