Vyacheslav "slaxejezzz" Vinokurov, PARIVISION's latest addition, shared insights about his transition to the team and his experiences so far in the XSE Pro League. Known for his impressive performance with PsychoFace, the 18-year-old recorded a 1.25 rating in the first half of the year, which highlighted his potential and earned him a spot on a top 20 team.
After declining offers from Spirit Academy and VP.Prodigy, slaxejezzz's decision to join PARIVISION has proven to be promising. Despite the initial difficulties of adapting, he acknowledged the supportive environment provided by his teammates and coach Dastan "dastan" Akbayev. Slaxejezzz described his early challenges as a matter of adjusting to a different mindset, stating, "Right now [the main challenge] is probably the thinking during our plays: post-plants and the vision of the map," emphasizing that he relies on dastan's guidance.
His recruitment process began when dastan reached out via Telegram, leading to a discussion that resulted in his quick relocation to Belgrade. Slaxejezzz was already aware of the potential challenges his new role would bring, stating, "I was expecting it" due to previous offers he had received, which he did not feel were advantageous.
The young player has been immersing himself in practice since June and recognized that learning new callouts and preparing for multiple maps presented significant hurdles. Though he initially found the pace overwhelming, the team dynamics have gradually begun to gel. Slaxejezzz expressed satisfaction with how his roles have developed.
While dastan is known for his strict approach, slaxejezzz found him to be both intense in gameplay and approachable off the stage, remarking that he is a “fun guy, a kind one.” With Jame and HObbit also on board, he noted that advice has been mainly coming from Jame as they focus on strategies for upcoming matches.
As PARIVISION advances to the playoffs, slaxejezzz is prepared for the challenge, noting that although he experienced average performance in earlier matches, he remains focused and willing to improve. "Making it in was unexpected... I’m more excited than nervous," he said, highlighting his optimism as the team moves forward in the competition.
