FaZe secure first spot at BLAST Bounty Finals after defeating DENDELE
FaZe have qualified for the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 LAN finals with a 2-1 victory over DENDELE. The finals will occur in Malta next week.
FaZe has locked in the first slot for the LAN finals of the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 after triumphing 2-1 against DENDELE in the Round of 16.
The finals are set to happen next week, from July 30 to August 2, at BLAST's studio in Malta, where seven additional teams will be determined this weekend.
Jakub "jcobbb" Pietruszewski emerged as the standout player for FaZe, amassing a 1.40 rating across the series. He played a pivotal role in the first half of the decisive map, Cache, executing a vital 1v3 clutch that staved off any momentum for the Brazilian squad. Additionally, a remarkable AWP play from David "frozen" Čerňanský in the previous round further highlighted FaZe's performance.
DENDELE, formerly known as Sharks prior to their rebranding earlier this month, entered the match on the heels of a surprising victory over FURIA just the previous night. Despite their upset win, the Brazilians appeared sluggish at the outset against FaZe.
FaZe asserted their dominance early on Nuke, with Jason "JBOEN" Boe Nielsen finishing the map with an impressive 19-1 score. Though Mirage began in a similarly lopsided manner with FaZe going on a six-round streak, DENDELE fought back with two forcebuy wins that changed the momentum. On Cache, the Brazilian team contested FaZe effectively in the first half with well-executed A splits.
Ultimately, inconsistent cohesion proved detrimental for DENDELE. Critical moments that showcased frozen and jcobbb's impactful plays, coupled with a significant 5v3 loss in the second half, allowed FaZe to maintain control and secure the victory.
