FaZe secures semi-final spot with comeback against The MongolZ

FaZe rallied from a 3-12 deficit on Nuke to defeat The MongolZ 2-1 at BLAST Bounty Season 2, advancing to the semi-finals.

FaZe has advanced to the semi-finals of BLAST Bounty Season 2 after a convincing 2-1 victory over The MongolZ. This match marks FaZe's second semi-final appearance since the acquisition of new AWPer Jason "JBOEN" Boe Nielsen. FaZe secured their wins on Nuke (16-12) and Ancient (13-8), with a setback on Mirage (7-13).

The MongolZ had a strong start on Nuke, leading 12-3 at one point, but FaZe executed a remarkable comeback, winning 13 consecutive rounds to clinch the map in overtime. Key performances came from FaZe's Jakub "jcobbb" Pietruszewski, JBOEN, and David "frozen" Čerňanský, who dominated their adversaries during the decisive second half.

The MongolZ initially showcased strong teamwork with Zolbayar "tikuak" Chimedtseren, Dugarsuren "DarkMeister" Ireedui, and Usukhbayar "910" Banzragch leading their defensive efforts, but FaZe leveraged their defense in OT to take the map firmly in their favor.

The MongolZ managed to rebound on Mirage, where Garidmagnai "bLitz" Byambasuren and tikuak helped their team establish a 9-3 lead on the T-side before FaZe made a late attempt to close the gap.

On Ancient, FaZe demonstrated their prowess in handling pressure, with JBOEN making critical plays that ultimately set the tone for a decisive first half. Despite a brief resurgence from The MongolZ in the second half, moments of brilliance from JBOEN ensured FaZe maintained control through to the victory.

FaZe's comeback on Nuke and solid performance overall highlights a renewed vigor within the team, with JBOEN consistently leading in kills and pivotal moments throughout the series.
