Jimpphat discusses MOUZ exit and fresh start with Aurora

MOUZJimpphat reflects on his departure from MOUZ and excitement for joining Aurora in a recent podcast appearance.
In a recent episode of the 'natun ja Robun CS Podcast', Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo discussed his transition from MOUZ to Aurora, sharing insights into the circumstances surrounding his departure from the former team.
The 19-year-old rifler began by reflecting on his tenure with MOUZ and the decision to bench him mid-season. He expressed some confusion regarding the decision, stating, "It was a really good time, so I have no bones to pick [with MOUZ]. But I still think it's a bit stupid of them to bench me in the middle of the season because we couldn't finish with the Major. I didn't really understand it myself, it's always something that annoys me a little, because I would have liked to play."
Jimpphat revealed that he learned of his benching during IEM Rio from Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen, discussing the lack of clarity regarding the decision-making process. "I don't know if it was the team's decision or if it was sycrone's own decision, but he said that me and Brollan have been benched," he noted, adding that he was not informed of any plans for him to participate in the Major.
He mentioned that sycrone opted for Brollan to fill his position, a choice that left Jimpphat questioning the rationale behind it considering their similar play styles. Despite a one-year contract extension with MOUZ at the start of 2025, Jimpphat indicated that he had intentions of moving to another organization from the onset.
Regarding a rumored move to Falcons, he stated that negotiations did not materialize due to MOUZ's reluctance to part ways at that time, leading to his stay with the team.
After being benched in April 2026, Jimpphat found a new opportunity with Aurora, where he expressed optimism. "I think it's a really, really good team, I think there are a lot of good names there. I can't say yet what to expect... I have to see how I adapt because I played for so long in MOUZ," he added.
