MaiL09 returns to Metizport's starting roster

Metizport has officially announced the return of Liam "MaiL09" Tügel to their starting roster, filling the spot of Isak "isak" Fahlén, who has opted to take a break from competitive play. MaiL09's reinstatement follows a successful loan term at Alliance, where he showcased his skills over six months.

Upon his return to Metizport in June, the organization attempted to extend his stay at Alliance, reportedly offering a record trade deal. However, the negotiations did not result in a permanent transfer. Initially benched by Metizport at the end of 2025 due to difficulties in optimizing his role, MaiL09 made a significant impact at Alliance, achieving an average rating of 1.19. The team narrowly missed a spot in the IEM Cologne Major, falling just 10 points short in the Valve ranking.

Metizport's management indicated that MaiL09 will assume a different role within the team, with structural changes implemented to better accommodate him and enhance his performance. "We’re happy to welcome Liam back into the team," commented Metizport's sports director Morten "zEVES" Vollan Christensen. He expressed confidence in the organization's evolving strategy, claiming, "We have been through a longer transition period, but we’re now in a much better place to utilize his full potential. The ambitions for the upcoming season are high, and with Liam in the lineup, we have that game-changing quality that’s going to be important for us going forward."

The revamped Metizport roster is set to debut at the Stake Pulse Beat I tournament, boasting a prize pool of $60,000, taking place in Stockholm. Other competing teams include Liquid, fnatic, Johnny Speeds and Betclic.

The current Metizport lineup includes: Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz, Nicolas "Plopski" Gonzalez Zamora, David "forsyy" Bílý, Maciej "F1KU" Miklas, and Liam "MaiL09" Tügel, with Vincent "vinS" Jozefiak as coach.
