MOUZ Secures BLAST Bounty Finals Spot by Defeating FOKUS

MOUZ has secured its place at the BLAST Bounty Season 2 Finals after a decisive 2-0 victory against FOKUS, making them the first top-10 team on the VRS to qualify.

In their group stage matches, xertioN's squad displayed a dominant performance, not dropping a single map. The clash with FOKUS featured eight players who had graduated from each organization's academy roster, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the competition.

The match began on Dust2, where MOUZ managed to edge out FOKUS 13-10 in a tightly contested game. Despite newcomer Oldřich "PR" Nový struggling with a 0.93 rating, his few standout plays were overshadowed by MOUZ's effective teamwork. The team quickly took a 6-3 lead after overcoming a difficult start, capitalizing on an early round win with saved weapons that shifted the momentum. Although FOKUS managed to recover briefly, MOUZ's experience shined through as they closed out the map with firm control.

Mirage followed, and FOKUS initially took a 3-1 lead, but it quickly vanished against MOUZ's skilled T-side push led by Dorian "xertioN" Berman. The opening encounters heavily favored MOUZ, and although FOKUS won both pistol rounds, they struggled to maintain momentum. Key contributions came from torzsi, whose exceptional plays included a stunning flick that turned a seemingly lost round into a victory. Another impactful play from him with a Five-SeveN turned the tide once again, allowing MOUZ to seal the match convincingly.

This victory not only solidifies MOUZ's position in the finals but also highlights the competitive nature of the group stage, where upsets were rampant throughout.
