MOUZ secures grand final spot after victory over Astralis

MOUZ has advanced to the grand final of BLAST Bounty Season 2 with a narrow 2-1 win over Astralis, showcasing impressive performances despite nearly losing a massive 12-2 lead in the final map.

The victory marks a successful debut for MOUZ with their revamped roster, but the team will need to tighten up their game for the upcoming final after several missed opportunities throughout the series. Astralis struggled to find consistent synergy as they leaned heavily on standout performances, particularly from Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard, who provided crucial plays to secure Astralis's lone map win on Ancient and pushed Dust2 to the brink.

Astralis started strong on Ancient, capitalizing on an early pistol round to take a commanding 5-0 lead. MOUZ managed to claw back a few rounds but was unable to maintain momentum, continuing a trend of relinquishing chances throughout the map.

The second half of Ancient saw Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen turn the tide for MOUZ in a pivotal pistol round. Though Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás attempted a clutch later on, a devastating Five-Seven ace by jabbi in the final round clinched the map for Astralis.

On Mirage, MOUZ showcased resilience, initially taking a 6-1 lead before a stellar ace from Love "phzy" Smidebrant brought Astralis back into contention. Yet again, MOUZ fell into the pattern of missing out on critical rounds, allowing Astralis to equalize by the half's end. MOUZ rebounded in the second half, largely due to Adrian "xelex" Vincze's impressive double in a force-buy, ensuring the series proceeded to Dust2 for a decisive match-up.

Dust2 started with MOUZ in control, establishing a 10-2 lead, but they nearly faced disaster after losing a 4v2 situation. As pressure mounted, the B bombsite became a thorn in MOUZ's side, with Oldřich "PR" Nový and Lotan "Spinx" Giladi struggling against aggressive pushes. Ultimately, MOUZ managed to regain form and secure their grand final berth despite the late scare.
