SAW announces new roster featuring top Portuguese players

Portuguese esports organization SAW has officially unveiled its new roster, aiming to reclaim its position among the elite in the CS2 scene. This new lineup features several prominent figures from the national circuit, as confirmed by a report from HLTV on June 30.

The revamped roster includes Christopher "MUTiRiS" Fernandes, who joins from BC.Game, alongside João "story" Vieira, acquired from FlyQuest, and Michel "ewjerkz" Pinto, who has recently come off a benching period at Ninjas in Pyjamas. ewjerkz had been inactive for seven months following his removal from NIP's main squad.

Additionally, Adones "krazy" Nobre joins the team, also hailing from BC.Game. Nobre is no stranger to SAW, having previously spent six months with the organization before their core was picked up by BC.Game in early 2026, which allowed for entry into international competitions.

Filipe "NOPEEj" Dias completes the roster, having previously played for Rebels since late 2025. Dias has been an influential player in the Portuguese scene for nearly ten years and was part of the Rhyno squad that finished as runners-up at the 2024 IESF World Championship alongside krazy.

Alongside this lineup announcement, SAW revealed that their previous roster, which played after the core's transfer to BC.Game, will continue as SAW Youngsters. Head coach Tiago "mowzassa" Rodrigues, along with assistant coach Tiago "SYDOX" Fonseca, will transition to oversee the main team.

SAW's new lineup is set to compete for the first time in the West European Open Qualifier for BLAST Open Fall this coming Sunday, with plans to head to Paris next month for the Esports World Cup's Open Qualifier.

The newly formed roster consists of: Christopher "MUTiRiS" Fernandes, João "story" Vieira, Michel "ewjerkz" Pinto, Adones "krazy" Nobre, and Filipe "NOPEEj" Dias, with coaching by Tiago "mowzassa" Rodrigues.
