100 Thieves and Liquid advance to the EWC Open Qualifier playoffs, remaining unbeaten. Several teams faced unexpected challenges as the qualifiers progressed.
The EWC Open Qualifier has seen eight teams from Groups 9-16 successfully advance to the playoffs, demonstrating the competitiveness of this stage.
Among the top performers, both Liquid and 100 Thieves secured their playoff spots without losing a single map, confirming their strong form as the competition heats up.
However, the path to the playoffs was not without surprises. Eternal Fire experienced an unexpected upset against NADE last Friday. Subsequently, SadFamous's forfeit allowed Eternal Fire to move directly to the decider match, where they avenged their earlier defeat to claim their playoff position.
In another highlight of the qualifiers, Echo managed to defeat OG with a score of 2-1, which forced Casper "cadiaN" Møller and his team into the decider match for a chance at the next stage.
Additionally, EYEBALLERS faced a significant challenge against Phantom. After a narrow loss on Ancient, where the match finished 17-19 in favor of Nico "nicoodoz" Tamjidi's team after a double overtime, EYEBALLERS rebounded on Anubis to complete the comeback and secure their playoff place.
