Alliance defeats Nemesis 2-1 to advance in XSE Pro League Guangzhou

Alliance has secured their place in the semi-finals of the XSE Pro League Guangzhou by defeating Nemesis 2-1 in the quarter-finals, with match results of 8-13 on Nuke, 13-7 on Inferno, and 13-7 on Ancient.

The Swedish team, which has been on an upward trajectory in the VRS, narrowly missed qualifying for the IEM Cologne Major following victories at ROG JOURNEY Spring and a third-place finish at both Roman Imperium Cup VI and DraculaN Season 6.

Despite facing a setback in June when they were unable to complete the permanent transfer of Liam "MaiL09" Tügel from Metizport, who had been their standout player, Alliance found success after signing Jonatan "bobeksde" Persson.

Three weeks ago, they won ROG JOURNEY Summer and have performed strongly in the XSE Pro League, only dropping their opening match against PARIVISION while defeating Ninjas in Pyjamas, B8, and 9z to reach the playoffs.

In the quarter-finals against Nemesis, while Alliance struggled on Nuke, bobeksde led the way by achieving a rating of 1.86 on Inferno before turning in an extraordinary performance on Ancient with a 2.22 rating, a 27-11 kill-death ratio, six round-winning openers, and eight multi-kills. This dominant display secured a rematch against 9z in the semi-finals.
