HLTV Prospects Season 2 Graduation Overview
A total of 31 players have graduated from the HLTV Prospects ranking as season two begins, with many reaching significant thresholds in map play.
As we transition into the second season of HLTV Prospects, a total of 31 players will no longer be eligible for the ranking due to either graduation requirements or aging out. This new season's ranking is expected to be released shortly, reflecting fresh standings in the competitive landscape.
Among those graduating, twelve players peaked within the elite top 10, nine were in the top 30, and ten others found themselves in the top 50. Notably, seven out of the ten players who reached the top 10 did so by surpassing 50 Big Event maps, while others achieved significant milestones based on their career map counts.
Kacper "xKacpersky" Gabara from Ninjas in Pyjamas began the season atop the rankings, but was eclipsed in April by Džiugas "dziugss" Steponavičius, who ascended after FUT's victory at the PGL Bucharest event. dziugss concluded his eligibility by hitting the 50 Big Event map milestone, vacating the top position. Likewise, teammates Dmytro "dem0n" Myroshnychenko, Aulon "Krabeni" Fazlija, and Nikita "cmtry" Samolotov all graduated after meeting or exceeding their respective thresholds in map play.
Vladislav "xiELO" Lysov from PARIVISION peaked at #3 earlier this year and also graduated by way of Big Event maps. His teammate Emil "nota" Moskvitin, after a strong start to the season, faced challenges that led to being benched in June and graduated at rank #7. Anarbileg "cobrazera" Uuganbayar, who peaked at #4, also graduated following over 50 Big Event matches, although his future remains uncertain after being benched in The MongolZ.
William "sirah" Kjærsgaard's tenure with 100 Thieves concludes as he graduates with 325 maps in Top 50 matches, while teammate Alex "poiii" Nyholm Sundgren continues in the ranking. Other significant graduations include João "koala" Pfeffer, Nikita "tenzy" Kochenyuk, and Adam "adamb" Ångström, all of whom turned 21.
The mid-tier graduations feature Alan "flayy" Krupa, who peaked at #13 and is aging out alongside several others who achieved various peak ranks but have also turned 21 recently. Nikita "jackasmo" Skyba leaves with a #17 peak after grinding in tier-two competitions, and Danylo "s1zzi" Vinnyk graduates from the list after a breakout season with B8, maintaining a #24 peak.
Graduates from the bottom ranks are primarily aging out, with players like Nicky "NickyB" Bruhn, Yalalt "yAmi" Oyunbileg, and Jaxon "Peeping" Cornwell featuring prominently as they conclude their time in the ranking with the most appearances among this group. With the new season on the horizon, the absence of these graduates marks a significant shift as fresh players look to emerge in the competitive arena.
