In the wake of a disappointing performance at the Esports World Cup, Luminosity has exited the tournament with a last-place finish, unable to secure a victory against GamerLegion and Spirit. The Brazilian team’s struggles have extended to a total of five consecutive losses, following a disappointing 0-3 showing at the XSE Pro League.

Lucas "lux" Meneghini, the team's in-game leader, noted the difficulties in unifying the team's playing style. "Sometimes I have a very clear vision of what needs to be done, and they have a different one," he explained. Lux emphasized that the challenge isn't about right versus wrong decisions but about achieving synchronization within a diverse international squad.

Since joining Luminosity, the team has slipped ten places in the rankings. To combat this, lux revealed plans to return to the Monte formula, participating in tier-2 LAN events across Europe. This strategy aims to accumulate VRS points and propel them back into contention for Major qualification.

Lux remains optimistic amid the team's struggles, humorously stating that their immediate goal is simply to secure a win. He is focused on short-term improvements and achieving a cohesive team dynamic. Looking back at the tournament matches, he acknowledged missed opportunities, particularly on Dust2, where he felt the team showed better performance despite ultimately losing.

Reflecting on the first month with the team, lux acknowledged the challenges posed by unfamiliarity with map strategies and the need for more practice. "There have been quite a few Bo1s, right? Because we’re still getting to know our map pool," he said, highlighting the need for more reps to foster better understanding among teammates.

As for future endeavors, lux stated the plan to engage in smaller tournaments before targeting larger events, including potential Major qualification. Expressing confidence in the project, he noted positive dynamics within the team and optimism for improvement, stating, "I’m really enjoying what we’re building here. It’s obviously sad to lose without winning a single match, but that’s just how it is. You have to lose to learn, and that’s part of it; you have to keep a positive mindset."
