MPKBK to Host Four CIS LAN Tournaments Before Singapore Major

MPKBK has announced a collaboration with WINLINE to host four CIS LAN events leading up to the PGL Singapore Major. Notably, the final tournament will feature an enhanced prize pool of $50,000 and will take place just a week prior to the VRS invite cut-off, scheduled for October 20-23.

Additionally, the organizer shared more details regarding CIS LAN Season 6, which is set to occur in Moscow, Russia from July 27-30. This season will host 16 participating teams and will employ a best-of-three GSL group stage format, progressing to a single-elimination playoff bracket that concludes with a best-of-five grand final.

The $40,000 events will open for registration on July 7 at 16:00 and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, with a team registration fee of $3,000.

Over the past year, MPKBK’s tournaments have significantly influenced the Major qualification landscape. As an example, PARIVISION secured a place in the StarLadder Budapest Major by winning the Majestic LanDaLan 3. Conversely, K27's aspirations for the Cologne Major were thwarted at MPKBK CIS LAN Season 4.

The previous edition of this event showcased the new roster for Virtus.pro, who captured the organization's first trophy in three years, resulting in a notable jump of over 70 positions in the VRS rankings.
