Spirit advance to BLAST Bounty semis by defeating Liquid

Spirit have reached the semi-finals of the BLAST Bounty tournament after sweeping Liquid 2-0 in the opening match of the single-elimination bracket. Danil "donk" Kryshkovets led the charge for Spirit, achieving an impressive 1.76 rating alongside 107.4 ADR and a +7.03% swing throughout the series.

The quarter-final commenced on Dust2, which was favored by Spirit. Despite this, Liquid opened strongly, taking a quick 2-0 lead following successful pistol rounds. Georgi "Jorko" Mitev showcased his potential in a high-stakes 1v1 against Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov to secure an early advantage for Liquid. Ranked 28th in the HLTV Prospects, the 17-year-old AWPer emerged as the standout player for his team, finishing the map with a notable +9.61% swing and a 1.62 rating. Ultimately, however, Spirit regrouped and secured eight consecutive rounds, concluding the first map with a 13-7 victory.

The matchup then switched to Anubis, where Liquid struggled to find their footing on the CT side, managing only three rounds. Jorko had a key moment again, pulling off a remarkable 1v2 clutch during a tough defensive stint. After halftime, donk's four kills with dualies bolstered Spirit's position, pushing the score to 12-3. Liquid attempted a comeback, narrowing the margin to 12-5. In a climactic moment, Jorko faced donk in a final 1v1, planting on A. Jorko landed an initial shot, but donk quickly recovered, taking down Jorko and securing the victory with a timely defuse.
