tacitus named head coach of Imperial's CS2 team
Marcos "tacitus" Castilho takes over as head coach of Imperial after six months out of work, following a series of mixed results for the team.
Imperial has officially appointed Marcos "tacitus" Castilho as the new head coach for their CS team. This decision comes in the wake of Rafael "zakk" Fernandes's departure in mid-June, leaving a vacancy that tacitus is now set to fill.
At 26 years old, tacitus enters the role after spending six months without a position following his exit from Fluxo in February. His tenure with Fluxo lasted nearly two years, after which he was succeeded by Gustavo "Juve" Alexandre, known for his previous work with Into the Breach.
Under its management, Imperial had a strong start to the season, securing victories in their initial two tournaments, including the CCT 2026 South America Series 3 and the Thunderpick World Championship 2026 South America Series 2. However, performance has dipped recently, with the team finishing second to Fluxo in the BetBoom RUSH B Summit Season 4 and suffering a Round of 16 exit against BESTIA Academy in the CCT 2026 South America Series 4. Additionally, they placed 5th-6th in the South American closed qualifier for the StarLadder StarSeries Fall.
Currently, Imperial's roster comprises: Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes, Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo, Lucas "decenty" Bacelar, Kaiky "noway" Santos, and Guilherme "saadzin" Pacheco. Tacitus will look to turn the team's fortunes around following the benching of Guilherme "levi" Gustavo and Felipe "skullz" Medeiros, as the squad attempts to regain its competitive edge.
