EWC Qualifier Groups Revealed; Liquid, BCG and HEROIC Lead the Pack

The upcoming open qualifier for the Esports World Cup's Counter-Strike tournament has finalized its participant roster, with 64 teams set to compete for four spots in the $2 million event. This highly anticipated three-day LAN qualifier will kick off on August 7 and promises intense competition.

The Esports World Cup has established a significant international presence, and the entrancing prize pool has drawn attention from many top-tier teams. All 28 teams eligible by VRS rank have confirmed their participation, showcasing the level of talent expected.

Among the notable entrants are Liquid, BC.Game, HEROIC, 100 Thieves, NRG, and DENDELE. These squads will battle through a rigorous qualifier structure featuring 16 groups of four teams each in a double-elimination format.

Teams will vie for a chance to continue in the tournament, as only the top two from each group will advance to the playoffs, which will be held in a single-elimination format. All matches throughout the qualifier will follow a best-of-three format, ensuring a fair and competitive environment as teams strive for glory in the main event.
