Liquid dominate G2 to reach BLAST Bounty finals in Malta

Liquid has secured a place in the finals of the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 without losing a single map, defeating both Vitality and G2 in their path. Coupled with FaZe, they will compete in Malta from August 30 to September 2.

The roster, bolstered by the recent signings of Johnny "JT" Theodosiou and Georgi "Jorko" Mitev, delivered a standout performance, starting with a strong win against Vitality in the opening round. They then faced G2 and showcased their dominance, particularly on Mirage, where Jorko's strategic play was pivotal in undermining G2's efforts.

In the initial match, Jorko put up an impressive 1.24 rating and continued to shine against G2, applying pressure alongside teammate Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski. On Anubis, Liquid displayed a solid team effort, managing to secure a victory despite losing both pistol rounds, demonstrating their resilience and collective skill.

On the other hand, G2's tournament journey ended with their lackluster performance, particularly from their latest signing, Artem "r1nkle" Moroz, who took over from Álvaro "SunPayus" García during the off-season. r1nkle concluded the tournament with a 0.91 rating and struggled alongside his teammates, as G2 fell short against Liquid, registering only 11 rounds total across two maps.
