fnatic advances to EWC qualifier after defeating HEROIC

fnatic secured a surprising 2-0 victory against HEROIC, progressing to the next round of the Esports World Cup qualifiers.

fnatic continues to impress with their newly formed roster, recently delivering a significant upset in the Esports World Cup open qualifier playoffs. They defeated the highly-ranked team HEROIC with a clean 2-0 scoreline.

The shift in fnatic's lineup, which involved replacing Viktor "Br4tkO" Kondratets with Volodymyr "mazay" Iorhachov and Artem "cairne" Mushynskyi, has revitalized the team's performance. Since this change, fnatic has been on an outstanding run, clinching 12 series victories while only suffering one defeat since the beginning of July.

In their playoff match against HEROIC, fnatic displayed remarkable gameplay, particularly from Nikita "jackasmo" Skyba, who notched an impressive 34-13 score on Inferno, leading the squad to victory. Despite facing a strong competition, fnatic’s aggressive style overwhelmed HEROIC, earning them a spot in the next round.

Post-match, Christoffer "Chr1zN" Storgaard commented on the match saying, "I feel like we kinda got overwhelmed with the tempo that was coming at us. They play very aggressive, very direct, and I feel like we basically just got outplayed. It's not good enough, but to be honest, that's the truth."

With this win, fnatic is now on the brink of qualifying for the main event of the Esports World Cup. They will face the winner of the match between K27 and EYEBALLERS, which could set the stage for an intriguing encounter between fnatic's Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson and Jesper "JW" Wecksell and their former organization.
